Painting Spree

For the past 2 weeks i have been painting my heart away. I produced 4 paintings that i think are the most expressive of my work. This time instead of painting on a wooden panel I decided to use wooden plaques to avoid bending from the paint and water.

heres 2 of the 4

I have also decided to offer personalize graffiti name plaques in my shop. The customer can have any name using any colors on the plaque. For now its only a trail to see how well it sells or if it sells at all.

I recently bought some inkjet shrink plastic to just experiment. I want to use it to create small pendant necklaces and earrings that features some of the images from my paintings. I heard it is good, because the image comes out clear and the material becomes thick when baked. Hopefully it will work out well.

New Artwork

I wanted to try out this Art Card thing so I created 4 different cards. It took me forever to come up with these design since I haven done them since high school. It brings back memories:) It also looks pretty sweet under blacklight , but at a while the intensity of the colors started to hurt my eyes.

I was in the painting mood today and created 2 new paintings. I call these paintings groovies; my 60's/70's afro-centric cartoons. I haven't drawn my groovie people since high school. I actually had to go back and look through my art journal to remember how to draw them.

Sticking to What I'm Good At

I have been contemplating whether or not I should keep making jewelry or to work in something different. And I've decided to stop and to stick with something that I've been more passionate about for as long as I could remember, which is my art. I've just realized that I haven't painted anything since April because I have been working with jewelry. So, I am just going to start back up on it. All the necklaces in my shop are now reduced to 5 dollars, and all proceeds from sales will go to paint supplies. :)
